Finance Manager

In Vietnam, we commissioned a 40MW solar power plant in Mui Ne (Binh Thuan) and are currently constructing a 30 MW Wind Farm in Binh Dai, Ben Tre.

 A. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Overview:

As Finance Manager, you will oversee budget planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting for renewable energy projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate financial documentation, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities cover budget and cash flow management, loan administration, capital expenditure, project cost control, tax compliance, and document management.

1 .Budget and Cash Flow Management

  • Assist in updating and maintaining the company’s budget and cash flow forecasts to support key business decisions.
  • Monitor compliance with financial covenants set by lenders.

2. Loan Management

  • Oversee loan disbursements and schedules, ensuring timely repayment of both interest and principal.
  • Manage documentation and follow-up with lenders for loan-related activities.

3. Capital Expenditure and Project Costs

  • Review and update Capex controls within the Financial Model/Budget.
  • Track project installation costs and ensure milestone payments and variations are approved and processed on time.
  • Coordinate with project teams to keep up to date with project status.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Review daily booking entries and regular payments.
  • Provide weekly cash flow updates to the Group, including cash balances, billing, and project-related Capex and Opex.
  • Prepare monthly financial and summaries for the Vietnam business review.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required by the Group.

5. Budget Preparation and Variance Analysis

  • Direct the preparation of the yearly budget and monitor variances between actual performance and budgeted figures.
  • Prepare and submit the annual consolidation pack along with signed audited financial statements.

6. Contributed capital management

  • Update and keep track all capital contributed

7. Land document

  • Update and keep track all land data
  • Review land document submitted by land team
  • Owner of land payment process

8. Document Management

  • Review project-related documents (contract/payment/minutes).
  • Forward essential documents to stakeholders.

9. Tax Compliance

  • Review and manage VAT and FCT declarations.
  • Prepare the annual CIT tax return and ensure compliance with all corporate tax regulations.
  • Oversee payments to the budget for VAT and FCT on a monthly and quarterly basis.

10. Asset management

  • Operation management of assets including maintenance, contracting, and vendor management.
  • Preparation of Asset management reports to be submitted to investors and lenders regularly.
  • Lead the legal issues (if any) in the companies related to financial/asset management matters.

11. Miscellaneous

  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Group.

B. REQUIREMENT:

Educational Background:

  • Chief Accountant Certificate required.
  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CIMA, or CFA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in finance, accounting, or tax management.
  • At least two years of experience in asset management, particularly in real estate funds, renewable energy projects, or project financing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Business English (reading, writing, speaking, and persuasion).
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and loyalty.
  • Ability to work hard and travel to provinces when required.

Other:

  • Good references required
  • Overseas experience or education is a plus
